Please note: like most trading venues, we display the current mid-market rates in our price charts. When you trade, you get the current bid or ask price depending on whether you are buying or selling. There is always a slight difference between the mid-market and the current bid or ask prices. This is a natural result of how Exchange order books work.

SENT Describes Itself As

The utility and governance token for Sentient, a decentralized AI protocol building the GRID: a community-built network of modular AI artifacts including models, agents, tools, data sources, and compute.

Project Function

Sentient's core innovation is the GRID (Global Research and Intelligence Directory), which enables builders to contribute modular AI artifacts that can be discovered, composed, and orchestrated into workflows. The network aims to create an open and collaborative alternative to closed AI systems. Sentient also explores AI-native cryptography such as model fingerprinting to help prove model origin and integrity and support attribution.

Token Utility

SENT is designed to coordinate and reward network participation, including:

  • Access and payments: SENT is used to pay for AI services across the GRID.
  • Incentives: Builders earn SENT when their artifacts are used.
  • Staking and curation: Community members stake SENT on valuable artifacts to influence rewards and share in emissions.
  • Governance: SENT supports voting in the Sentient DAO via a representative system.

About the Founders

Sentient's development is led by Sentient Labs Pte. Ltd. The project positions itself as an open-source, community-driven AGI network, with a focus on modular intelligence, composability, and mechanisms to protect contributor rights. The ecosystem includes artifacts such as Dobby, Open Deep Search, a model fingerprinting library, and the ROMA meta-agent framework.

Risks of SENT

Like an investment in other crypto assets, there are some general risks to investing in SENT. These include: (i) volatility risk and liquidity risk, (ii) short history risk, (iii) demand risk, (iv) forking risk, (v) code defects, (vi) regulatory risk, (vii) electronic trading risk, and (viii) cyber security risk. For additional information of these and other general risks associated with crypto assets and Uphold's platform, please refer to the Risks Specific to Holding Digital Assets statement.

In addition to these general risks, an investment in SENT is subject to the following specific risks:

  • Early-stage and adoption risk: Sentient's value proposition depends on community participation, artifact quality, and adoption of the GRID as a usable AI ecosystem. If usage does not grow, token utility and demand may be limited.
  • Technical and security risk (including AI and cryptography): Sentient involves novel AI infrastructure and cryptographic techniques. Even with open-source development, vulnerabilities, exploits, or failures in model fingerprinting, execution environments, or supporting smart contracts could cause losses or disrupt services.
  • Governance and coordination risk: Governance relies on token-based participation and a representative system. Concentration of voting power, low participation, or misaligned incentives could lead to outcomes that harm the network or token holders.
  • Information and audit limitations: As of early 2026, the project has not published comprehensive third-party audits for the chain or token protocol. This can increase uncertainty around security and operational risk.

We emphasize that this Crypto Asset Statement is not an exhaustive description or summary of all risks associated with SENT. Investors should conduct their own research and perform their own assessment before trading any crypto asset to determine the appropriate level of risk for their personal circumstances.

The SENT community and Sentient founding team are not under any legal or regulatory obligation to disclose material information to the public regarding its activities. Holders of SENT have no recourse to the SENT community, Sentient founding team, or Uphold if SENT declines in value for any reason.

Changes to applicable law may adversely affect the use, transfer, exchange, or value of any of your crypto assets, and such changes may be sudden and without notice.
