Please note: like most trading venues, we display the current mid-market rates in our price charts. When you trade, you get the current bid or ask price depending on whether you are buying or selling. There is always a slight difference between the mid-market and the current bid or ask prices. This is a natural result of how Exchange order books work.

Digital currencies are very high risk. Do not invest money you can’t afford to lose. Please consider the suitability of crypto for your individual position before trading. Read our risk summary for qualifying crypto assets.

OPEN Describes Itself As

Openledger is a blockchain infrastructure for AI that runs as an Ethereum Layer-2 (L2) network which leverages Optimistic rollup technology. The network is designed to monetize and track contributions to data, models, and AI agents. All key actions in the AI development lifecycle – from dataset uploads and model training to inference usage and rewards – are executed on-chain for full traceability. At its core, the platform introduces Proof of Attribution — a mechanism that traces which data points influence an AI model’s output, ensuring contributors are transparently credited and fairly rewarded whenever the model is used.

Project Function

  • Community Datanets: OpenLedger lets users form decentralized data pools called Datanets to aggregate and curate high-quality, domain-specific datasets for AI training. Each data contribution is validated and recorded on-chain with verifiable attribution.
  • Model Factory (No-Code Fine-Tuning): Model Factory is a no-code tool to build specialized models on top of base models. It trains LoRA adapters using curated data from Datanets.
  • OpenLoRA Deployment Engine: OpenLedger provides OpenLoRA, a highly efficient framework for serving many fine-tuned models at scale. It enables dynamic loading of LoRA model adapters so that thousands of fine-tuned models can run on a single GPU, optimizing resource use.
  • Proof of Attribution: A core innovation of OpenLedger is its Proof-of-Attribution system for AI. Every action – adding a data point, training a model, or using a model for inference – is tracked and attributed on-chain. This means the platform can always tell whose data or work influenced a model’s output, and it automatically rewards contributors whenever that model is used in an application.
  • AI Studio & Applications: OpenLedger’s features come together in the AI Studio, an end-to-end environment where anyone can upload data, build models, and deploy AI applications on-chain.
  • Token Utility

  • Proof of Attribution rewards: OpenLedger rewards data contributors in OPEN through its attribution engine, which traces the data points influencing model behaviour. This ensures contributors receive automatic and fair compensation during training or inference, aligning incentives across the AI supply chain.
  • Governance: OPEN holders participate in governance, deciding on protocol upgrades, parameters, ownership, and other key changes. This grants the community direct control over critical decisions on a securely deployed mainnet.
  • Gas for AI Transactions: OPEN serves as the token for all interactions. Every transaction and on-chain operation, including model registration, inference calls, validator communication, and governance triggers, requires OPEN as gas. This reduces reliance on ETH and enables a tailored fee model optimised for AI use cases.
  • Model Training, Deployment & Inference Payments: Developers use $OPEN to register, train, and publish models on-chain, earning from inference usage, while users pay with $OPEN to query models. Fees are transparently distributed among model owners, data contributors, and core infrastructure, ensuring fair value sharing across the AI lifecycle.
