Uphold XRP Army Promotion - Terms and Conditions

All individual users of the Uphold platform whose accounts are in good standing who reside outside of the United Kingdom who have an XRP balance of at least 1 XRP on the Uphold platform as of 31st July 2023 at 23:59 UTC will be automatically entered into the promotion. Business accounts are not eligible for the promotion.

New customers can take part in the promotion on these snapshot dates - August 31st 2023 and September 30th 2023.

Employees of Uphold, its subsidiaries and affiliated companies and their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, advertising or promotional agencies, members of their immediate families, and persons with whom any of the foregoing are domiciled are not eligible to participate in this Promotion.

This Promotion shall commence on July 31st, 2023 at 23:59 UTC and continue until October 31st, 2023 at 23:59 PM UTC (the “Promotion Period”). Notwithstanding the foregoing, Uphold reserves the right, in its sole discretion and without providing any prior notice, to shorten, extend, modify or terminate this Promotion or Promotion Period in any way and at any time.

All eligible participants will receive one (1) NFT corresponding to their rank at the end of the Promotion Period (“Prize”). The NFT has no cash value, but may be transferred or sold. The NFT of the final rank will be distributed to the customer within sixty (60) days.

Uphold will notify you via email on how to claim your NFT and transfer it to an external wallet. If you do not claim your NFT within ninety (90) days of being notified, you will forfeit your Prize.

Yes, you can take part in the promotion by holding XRP on the snapshot dates - August 31st 2023 and September 30th 2023 (23:59 UTC).

These are the snapshot days for the promotion:

• July 31st, 2023 at 23:59 UTC - The 1st rank is determined based on balances at the time of this snapshot.
• August 31st, 2023 at 23:59 UTC - The rank for the following month is determined based on the balances at the time of this snapshot. If you join on this date, the rank for September will be determined based on the balances at the time of this snapshot.
• September 30th, 2023 at 23:59 UTC - The rank for the following month is determined based on the balances at the time of this snapshot. If you join on this date, the rank for October will be determined based on the balances at the time of this snapshot.
• October 31st, 2023 at 23:59 UTC - This will determine the final rank achieved during the promotion and what NFT you will be eligible to receive.

On July 31st, 2023 at 23:59 UTC eligible customers will be assigned with a rank and put into one of the following cohorts.

New customers who join on August 31st 2023 and September 30th 2023 will be assigned ranks and put into one of the following cohorts.

Your XRP balance at 23:59 UTC on the last day of each calendar month will be used to determine your rank for the following month.

Your XRP balance at 23:59 UTC on the last day of each calendar month will be used to determine your rank for the following month.

These are all possible combinations:

1) If your XRP balance at the snapshot date is equal to your XRP balance at the previous snapshot date, you will move up one rank and you will receive the relevant rank badge.

2) If your XRP balance at the snapshot date is higher than your XRP balance at the previous snapshot date and it is within the same balance tier, you will move up one rank and you will receive the relevant rank badge.

3) If your XRP balance at the snapshot date is higher than your XRP balance at the previous snapshot date and it falls in a higher balance tier, you will move up to the relevant rank and you will receive the relevant rank badge.

4) If your XRP balance at the snapshot date is lower than your XRP balance at the previous snapshot date and it falls within the same balance tier, your rank will be the same and your badge will be unchanged.

5) If your XRP balance at the snapshot date is lower than your XRP balance at the previous snapshot date and it falls in a lower balance tier, you will be downgraded to the relevant rank and you will receive the relevant rank badge.

6) If your XRP balance is below 1 at any snapshot date, you will exit the promotion and you won’t be able to enter the promotion again.

7) If your account status moves away from being in good standing, you will exit the promotion and you won’t be able to enter the promotion again.

8) General of the Army - There is no higher rank. Users that fall in that rank and buy more, will stay in the same badge.

• If you hold 500 XRP as of July 31st at 23:59 UTC, your rank for August will be First Lieutenant. If your XRP balance on August 31 at 23:59 UTC is at least 500, you will be promoted to Captain. If your XRP balance on September 30 at 23:59 UTC is at least 500, you will be promoted to Major. 
• If you hold 500 XRP as of July 31st at 23:59 UTC, your rank for August will be First Lieutenant. If your XRP balance on August 31 at 23:59 UTC becomes 26,000, you will be promoted to Colonel.
• If you hold 500 XRP as of July 31 at 23:59 UTC, your rank for August will be First Lieutenant. If your XRP balance on August 31st at 23:59 UTC is 300, your rank stays as First Lieutenant. If your XRP balance on September 30th at 23:59 UTC is 300, you will be promoted to Captain. 
• If you hold 500 XRP as of July 31 at 23:59 UTC, your rank for August will be First Lieutenant. If your XRP balance on August 31st at 23:59 UTC is 300, your rank stays as First Lieutenant. If your XRP balance on September 30th at 23:59 UTC becomes 16,000, you will be promoted to Lieutenant Colonel.
• If you hold 11,000 XRP as of July 31 at 23:59 UTC, your rank for August will be Major. If your XRP balance on August 31st at 23:59 UTC is 26,000, you will be promoted to Colonel. If your XRP balance on September 30th at 23:59 UTC falls to 1,500, you will be downgraded to Captain.

1) We reserve the right to change these Rules and update them from time to time. We will notify you by email of any updates.

2) In the event of a dispute regarding the administration of these Rules, all decisions of Uphold shall be final.

3) Your use of the Uphold platform and participation in this Promotion are subject to Uphold general terms and conditions and privacy policy that are applicable to the jurisdiction in which you reside. 

4) You are responsible for any taxes that may be due based on your receipt of the Prize. The Prize has no cash value, and may not be substituted for another prize.

5) Uphold is not responsible for any failures of persons or systems that we do not directly control, such as mobile phone network operators, internet service providers, software providers and telephone traffic handlers. 

6) If any provision of these Rules is held to be illegal, invalid, void or otherwise unenforceable it shall be severed from the remaining provisions of these terms and conditions which shall as far as possible continue in full force and effect.
