WHAT'S UP

XRP Takes Aim At The Heavens

With SpaceX’s Resilience docked at a jam-packed International Space Station and NASA's Ingenuity robo-helicopter cruising around Mars, the price of XRP just took a quick look heaven-ward and cried out, hey, save me a spot!

Over the past 24 hours, XRP has rocketed 20% to $1.43 as of Tuesday at 8 a.m. (EST).

TradingView technical charts scoured by Crypto Potato revealed percolating buy-pressure crossover signals that should to push XRP higher.

Ranging between about $53,000-$55,000 over the past 48 hours, meanwhile, was Bitcoin which rose 2% with dawn's early light, further disinfecting blood-soaked memories of the weekend massacre.

"Given Bitcoin’s very rapid return to health," Crypto Daily said, "weak hands may well be wishing they hadn’t sold during the plunge."

Ethereum and Cardano also both moved higher over 24 hours as of Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. (EST).

WHAT'S DOWN

After Rocky Stretch, Dogecoin Still Center Of Attention

Mark Cuban wouldn't call Dogecoin the world's best investment, but apparently he did tell Ellen DeGeneres that "it's a whole lot better than a lottery ticket and a great way to start understanding cryptocurrencies."

The Dallas Mavericks owner let fly his left-handed DOGE hook during an episode of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” set to air later today.

Yesterday, interviewed on CNBC, CoinShares' chief strategist Meltem Demirors downshouted DOGE as "definitely a mania."

Over the past week, DOGE has lost 33%.

WHAT'S NEXT

America The Spendthriftful

A new survey shows most Americans support President Joe Biden's high rolling.

On the heels of the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan, which passed in Congress not long after he took office, Biden recently introduced his $2.2 trillion infrastructure and jobs proposal. That has garnered massive support (68%).

Tomorrow night, Biden is set to unveil a third major splurge, his "American Families Plan," expected to cost about $1.8 trillion.

Crypto Community Steps Up To Help India

India is in the grip of a devastating second wave of Covid-19. Britain and the U.S. are pledging assistance as are a slew of successful Indian-born executives, including some of crypto's best and brightest.

Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal launched a COVID Relief Fund for India. After the effort became known via a Twitter thread, the global crypto community rallied in support.

Now This Looks Like A Job For A Superfan

Two decades ago, Eminem's cinematic, Dido-infused "Stan" became an instant classic and defined the dangers of extreme fandom. This week, Slim Shady's most dedicated followers had the chance to prove their loyalty when a limited-edition single-copy non-fungible token (NFT) called “STAN’S REVENGE” was auctioned off on Nifty Gateway.

The NFT, part of a wider release, comes a few weeks after a Saturday Night Live comedic skewering of the NFT craze by way of a parody of Eminem’s “Without Me.” Eminem, earlier this month, retweeted the SNL video, featuring the lyrics: “Now what the hell’s an NFT/Apparently cryptocurrency/Everyone’s making so much money."

All told, the “Shady Con” NFT series raised about $1.8 million.

Reportedly, on Monday, the piece de resistance, STAN'S REVENGE, sold for $100,000 to a Canadian rapper named Tom MacDonald.
