The EVR Airdrop Has Arrived

It's finally here... the EVR airdrop has officially landed!

All Upholders that held a non-zero balance of XRP prior to the September 1st snapshot qualified. A total of 5,160,960 EVR were airdropped to the XRP community, with recipients receiving EVRs in proportion to their XRP holdings, up to 50,000 XRP.

For XRP holders using non-custodial wallets, the process was slightly more complex, requiring the registration of an XRPL r-address, importing that address onto Xahau, issuing a trustline to the EVRs issuing address, and finally claiming the airdrop. At Uphold, we took care of the heavy lifting, meaning all you had to do was hold XRP and sit back.

EVR tokens are now viewable within your Uphold Wallet. Please note that we only support storage for EVR at this time, we'll provide an update when both trade and transfer functionalities open up!

About Evernode

Evernode is a Layer-2 platform built on the Xahau Network, designed to facilitate the integration of scalable smart contracts with the XRPL. This is accomplished by combining Evernode’s “HotPocket” protocol with the “Hooks” amendment, enhancing opportunities for blockchain enthusiasts and developers alike. To learn more, click here.

Evernode’s native token, EVR, will be used to reward nodes for participating in the Evernode network, and will be distributed via the XRP Ledger Hook.

Congratulations to everyone who received EVR tokens! Stay tuned for more updates.
