Token Description & Project Background

lluvium is a decentralized game studio building an open-world RPG adventure game on the Ethereum blockchain that allows players to collect, exchange, and battle for NFT assets. 

Illuvium is powered by two tokens, ILV, and sILV. sILV is pegged to the price of ILV and can only be used in-game.

ILV is primarily a governance token that also enables users to stake their tokens to redeem sILV for in-game purchases. ILV is also used to reward players for various in-game achievements, such as completing quests.

The project was founded by  Kieran Warwick (CEO & Co-Founder) and Aaron Warwick (Co-Founder & Game Designer).

The game was scheduled to launch in 2022. 

Risks of ILV

Like an investment in other crypto assets, there are some general risks to investing in ILV. These include:  (i) volatility risk and liquidity risk, (ii) short history risk, (iii) demand risk, (iv) forking risk, (v) code defects, (vi) regulatory risk, (vii) electronic trading risk, and (viii) cyber security risk. • Any potential success associated with ILV is dependent on its rate of adoption by users. Investors should be aware that there are a number of competing blockchain gaming projects.
• Any potential success associated with ILV is dependent on a number of external factors, such as the growth and increased adoption of the metaverse economy, and the continued popularity of NFTs as digital collectibles.

Prior to listing ILV on the Uphold Platform, Uphold performed due diligence on ILV and determined that ILV is unlikely to be a security or derivative under relevant securities legislation. Uphold’s analysis including reviewing publicly available information on the following: 

• The creation, governance, usage, and design of ILV, including ensuring the source code being open-source, audited and peer reviewed, security, and roadmap for growth in the developer community. 
• The supply, demand, maturity, utility, and liquidity of ILV.
• Marketing materials put forward by the ILV social team including, Twitter, Medium blog, LinkedIn posts, Discord and Telegram channels.
• Material technical risks associated with ILV, including any code defects, security breaches and other threats concerning ILV and its supporting blockchain (such as the susceptibility to hacking and impact of forking), or the practices and protocols that apply to them.
• Legal and regulatory risks associated with ILV, including any pending, potential, or prior civil, regulatory, criminal, or enforcement action relating to the issuance, distribution, or use of ILV.
