Uphold continues to push our platform to new heights, and today we’re proud to announce our integration with the Polkadot blockchain

Polkadot is designed as infrastructure to connect and secure various blockchains. In essence, they are creating the “internet of blockchains” that allows each separate ecosystem to seamlessly interact and communicate with one another.

What does this mean? Members of the DOT community can now:

Deposit and Withdraw DOT on-chain between their Uphold wallet and any external Polkadot wallet.

Buy and Stake DOT from their Uphold wallet directly to the blockchain and earn 12% APY through the end of the year!

How To Deposit Polkadot (DOT) On Uphold

To deposit ADA to your Uphold mobile wallet:

  1. Tap ‘Transact’
  2. In ‘From:’ select ‘Cardano’ beneath ‘Crypto networks’
  3. Copy the QR code or Receiving Address
  4. Send funds from your external crypto wallet to the code or address you’ve copied

 DEPOSIT POLKADOT (DOT)

How To Stake Polkadot (DOT) On Uphold

To stake ADA from your Uphold mobile wallet:

  1. Tap ‘More…’
  2. Tap ‘Staking’
  3. Tap ‘Next’
  4. Select ‘Polkadot’
  5. Tap ‘From:’ and select your wallet balance
  6. Enter your amount
  7. Tap ‘Preview Staking’
  8. Tap ‘Start Staking DOT’

 STAKE POLKADOT (DOT)

Staking with Uphold is free, easy and earns you great rewards. We’re the ONLY CeFi platform offering 0% commissions on staking, and while unstaking from the Polkadot blockchain normally takes 28 days, with Uphold it takes a maximum of 3. Why not try it?

Uphold specializes in low-liquidity tokens that most CeFi exchanges don’t make available. By integrating with DOT, we’ll be able to support new, up and coming projects built on Polkadot and offer you early opportunities before other platforms do.

Keep an eye out for updates around Polkadot and more integrations coming to Uphold. This is only the beginning.

Make sure to upgrade your app to the latest version!
