Please note: like most trading venues, we display the current mid-market rates in our price charts. When you trade, you get the current bid or ask price depending on whether you are buying or selling. There is always a slight difference between the mid-market and the current bid or ask prices. This is a natural result of how Exchange order books work.

Digital currencies are very high risk. Do not invest money you can’t afford to lose. Please consider the suitability of crypto for your individual position before trading.

What is Coreum?

Coreum is a layer one, proof-of-stake (PoS) blockchain developed by the Coreum Development Foundation.

The blockchain was designed to cater to enterprises, namely through the integration of the following three features:

The Coreum blockchain has been under development for a couple of years - their ‘devnet’ (a network in development stage) launched in 2021, whilst their mainnet (final product experienced by users) is set to go live on the 24th March, 2023.

To celebrate the launch of their mainnet in March 2023, the Coreum team organized a series of airdrops to COREUM, SOLO, and XRP holders.

Brief Background

Coreum was built by the same founding team as Sologenic (SOLO), an on-demand tokenization service and decentralized exchange built on the XRP-Ledger. Bob Rash and Reza Bashash are respectively CEO and CTO of both Sologenic and Coreum.

Sologenic is set to integrate with the Coreum blockchain so that users can trade their assets on both the XRP-Ledger and Coreum.

Coreum - in their own words

Coreum describes itself as an ‘enterprise-grade layer one blockchain’. Marketing materials place emphasis on four key attributes: their blockchain is ‘modular, fast, secure’, and ‘interoperable’.

The team claims the Coreum blockchain can process up to 7,000 transactions per second, making it the ‘fastest blockchain in the world’.

COREUM token utility

COREUM is the Coreum blockchain’s native token. The token facilitates all transactions and operations within the network.

For more information about the project, COREUM token allocations and information about the Coreum airdrops, please read Coreum’s whitepaper.
