GRASS Describes Itself As

Grass describes itself as a consumer application that rewards users for sharing unused internet bandwidth, turning unused bandwidth into "Grass Points" which help determine GRASS token rewards over time.

Project Function

Enable a network of nodes, routers, and validators that route traffic and verify bandwidth, and transform public web data into datasets, with transparent reward distribution and data provenance.

GRASS Utility

  • Power transactions in the Grass network
  • Staking (including staking GRASS to routers) and earning rewards
  • Governance participation (propose and vote on network improvements and incentive mechanisms)

About the Founders

The Grass docs reference the Grass Foundation and state that Wynd Labs provides the Foundation with development and administrative services. Beneficial owner information (25%+ ownership) was not identified in the primary sources reviewed.

Risks of GRASS

  • The supply, demand, maturity, utility, and liquidity of GRASS.
  • Any marketing materials put forward by the GRASS social team including on, Twitter, Medium blog, LinkedIn posts, Discord and Telegram channels.
  • Material technical risks associated with GRASS, including any code defects, security breaches and other threats concerning GRASS and its supporting blockchain (such as the susceptibility to hacking and impact of forking), or the practices and protocols that apply to them.
  • Legal and regulatory risks associated with GRASS, including any pending, potential, or prior civil, regulatory, criminal, or enforcement action relating to the issuance, distribution, or use of GRASS.
