About Adventure Gold (AGLD)
Adventure Gold is the native governance token of a Loot, an NFT project. The brainchild of Dom Hoffman, who is the creator of video-sharing app Vine, Loot and its NFTs are known for utter simplicity. They consist of nothing more than a white text list of randomized “adventure gear” – weapons, equipment, armor, etc - pinned against a black background.
Loot NFTs place the onus directly on the owner to build and develop the text-based items however they see fit, Decrypt explained.
AGLD is the project’s native token. It also has a well-known proprietor, Will Papper, founder of the DAO-focused Syndicate protocol. AGLD “sets a standard for projects building on Loot in the future, providing a currency for the burgeoning, decentralized game universe,” Papper said on Twitter.
AGLD holders vote on in-game storylines within the Loot ecosystem, as well as broader governance issues regarding the project.

How is the price of AGLD determined?
There are 8,000 Loot NFT holders, each of whom can claim 10,000 AGLD tokens. So it’s a deflationary asset with a hard cap of 80 million AGLDs. According to CoinGecko, 77.2 million of these tokens had been claimed as of early June 2022.
Future price prospects will seemingly depend on demand for Loot NFTs and related GameFi titles.
