Here’s How Big Time Describes Itself

Big Time is a “second generation crypto game,” introducing a multiplayer RPG that combines fast-paced combat with an open game economy. In Big Time, players assume the role of a time traveler, invited to “take part in the greatest adventure in human history.”

Big Time seeks to empower its players by enabling them to craft, as well as control the creation and sale of in-game cosmetics. This contrasts other popular multiplayer titles such as League of Legends and Fortnite, in which skins and other items are sold to players by the game studio.

BIGTIME serves as the major cryptocurrency responsible for driving the Big Time economy, and is required for a variety of functions, including:

  • Refining, Crafting, and Upgrading at the Forge or Armory
  • Speeding up craft timers at the Forge or Armory
  • Accessing Prestige Portals
  • The BIGTIME token has been designed as an in-game resource. No allocations have been reserved for team, founders, or investors, or offered through any verified presale. Players can acquire BIGTIME tokens through two main processes: random drops for performing in-game actions, and importing through a player’s wallet. According to Big Time, a majority of tokens will be generated through in-game actions.

BIGTIME is non-tradable within the game environment and marketplace. However, the token can be transferred to any supporting crypto wallet, after which it can be freely transferred and traded as the owner wishes.

Big Time was launched by Decentraland alums Ari Melilich and Thor Alexander, and is supported by developers credited with work on well-known gaming titles including Fortnite, Call of Duty, and World of Warcraft.
