Nano is a digital currency that is decentralized, fee-less, which is designed to provide a simple peer-to-peer transfer of value.
The currency was originally called ‘Raiblocks’ before rebranding to ‘Nano’ in 2017.
The Nano Foundation says it empowers individuals and provides the most efficient and accessible digital money available, connecting users to the global economy in a sustainable way.
The network is based on the Nano protocol and provides open access to anyone worldwide wanting to transfer value instantly, without fees and in an eco-friendly way, without mining.
Nano was created by Colin LeMahieu under the name RaiBlocks in 2014.

- Material technical risks associated with NANO, including any code defects, security breaches and other threats concerning NANO and its supporting blockchain (such as the susceptibility to hacking and impact of forking), or the practices and protocols that apply to them.
- Legal and regulatory risks associated with NANO, including any pending, potential, or prior civil, regulatory, criminal, or enforcement action relating to the issuance, distribution, or use of NANO.
